Join the AHS for our June program: The Legion’s Fighting Bulldog. Co-editors Sam Thomas, curator of the T.R.R. Cobb House in Athens, and Vincent Dooley, chairman of Georgia Historical Society and beloved sports personality, will discuss the civil war correspondence of Lieutenant Colonel William Gaston Delony. Delony, a lawyer and graduate of the University of Georgia, furnishes through his writings a window into the lives of soldiers and their families throughout the war.
